Spring and fall in Japan are the times of year you’ll find most seasonal treats and flavors appearing in Japan. Like I’ve mentioned in other recent posts (Sakura Beer in Japan), seasonal packaging is a big thing too.
I have to admit that I am a complete sucker for this stuff. Japan has an amazingly easy time separating me from my money. It happened again today.
The new limited edition sakura Coca Cola cans are on the shelves. These small aluminum cans cost 135 yen at my local supermarket and I picked one up today.
As you can see from the pictures, it isn’t a special sakura flavor. It’s original flavor. I don’t even drink pop, but I just had to get a bottle as a keepsake.
Japan…
Your marketing brilliance shines through once again!
