In Episode 111 of the Just Japan Podcast, host Kevin O’Shea talks about raising children in a bilingual family here in Japan. Through anecdotal tales, Kevin shares how he and his Japanese wife are raising their children to speak both Japanese and English while living in Japan. It is a challenging task indeed and every family tackles it in a different way. Kevin also speaks to his wife and 5-year old son about learning second languages!
You also get to hear one of Kevin’s “old-timey” stories from YouTube about his first day being a teacher in Asia (South Korea). The audio from a 7-year old YouTube story video is part of this week’s episode!

Hiya, Kevin! You mentioned not having the luxury of traveling to Canada often, but are you able to travel more within Japan? Thanks again for a fun and informative show! 🙂
