Are you a Just Japan Podcast listener who is really interested in Japan, but still hasn’t had the chance to visit?
Are you planning your first trip to Japan and are still trying to figure out the logistics?
Planning that first trip, but are worried about the fact that you don’t speak Japanese?
If you are answering, “Yes” to these questions, then I have great news for you!
Just Japan Podcast friend Rob Dyer from TheRealJapan.com has just published a fantastic new travel eBook for you!
How to Travel in Japan Without Speaking Japanese is filled with great tips, advice, and information for the new travelers to Japan.
TheRealJapan.com is a fantastic source of information about Japan. This travel site has been around for several years and it continuously grows. Rob from TheRealJapan.com was on Just Japan Podcast 169: The Real Japan and introduced us to this great travel resource.
Now you can make yourself even more prepared for that first trip to Japan with his new Guide and workbook.
Rob was kind enough to send me an advance copy which I read recently.
There is fantastic information about using public transit in Japan without needing Japanese. I liked the tips about riding the Shinkansen (bullet trains) around Japan using a JR pass. I personally never traveled much in Japan before moving there so I had no experience with JR Passes.
The guide talks about getting prepaid SIM cards for your phone when you arrive or using pocket WiFi, something my wife and I always rent whenever we visit Japan now.
Believe it or not, you may think Japan is a high-tech land of wonder, but it isn’t. The guide goes into detail about how Japan still is very much a cash-based society and it is better to always make sure you have cash on you when traveling. The book gives many practical and real examples of it. I can speak from my 10 years in Japan that the book is spot on!
If you are planning that next big trip or your first big trip to Japan and have lots of questions, pick up a copy of How to Travel in Japan Without Speaking Japanese over at howtotravelinjapan.com.
This new guide makes it clear that you don’t have to let your lack of Japanese get in the way of a fantastic trip to the Land of the Rising Sun.
There will be an upcoming episode of the Just Japan Podcast about this new travel guide. Look for it in the next month or two.
